Behind the Scenes at Kite Day, 19th March
19 March 2025
At the Railway Pub near Streatham Common Station at 7.30 pm.. A Public Meeting aimed at securing the future of Kite Day.
You may know that with regret there will be no Streatham Common Kite Day this May. It has become increasingly difficult to deliver a completely volunteer run event and so have decided to take a break this year. We want to see it continue as a free community event and need to reach out to the wider community for more help. Bob Colover, one of the founders of the very first Kite Day will give us a short history of the event. We'd like to hear from our members, Streatham residents and community organisations. What are the ingredients for its continuing success and where can we find new volunteers who will be part of the team delivering the event before and on the day?
